Ellis Webster grew up in the city of Toronto, as an only child he was spoiled by his parents who were both ground technicians in the Air Force. This spurred his interest in planes – fighters in particular.
By 16 Webster was already studying advanced avionics, and learning to fly in his father’s twin seater training aircraft.
It was with his parents blessing that he entered flight school on his 18th birthday, joining the Terran Imperial Union Pilot Training School on Mars. He studied and trained there for six months and earned his wings.
His first assignment was aboard the U.S.S. Constance (SCA-707) in the Bariya System conducting escort missions for commercial cargo transports, he excelled in his flying – managing to repel pirate attacks and protect cargo operations, gaining the attention of his superiors.
During one of the early unofficial skirmishes with the Dakota, the Constance came to the rescue of the U.S.S. Foxton Grove (SCE-529), it was there Webster definitively proved himself in rescuing the then Captain John Caine after Caine’s fighter was crippled.
Webster found himself transferred under Caine aboard the U.S.S. Patton (SCA-703) as his wingman – Caine had not forgotten Webster’s skill years earlier.
The two became close friends serving together for the next two years.
Webster assisted Caine during the Battle of Van Gaal and was one of the few who stayed with Caine even after the retreat orders had been given.
Webster helped Caine through a hardest time of his life, after the loss of his wife and child at Van Gaal VI, Caine then opted to transfer to the Special Forces.
After Caine transferred out, Webster found himself as acting Air Wing Commander aboard the Patton. He would fill this position for three years.
Meanwhile Caine has gone into the strategic reserve forces and dropped off the map, Webster was ordered to track him down and bring him back – a new mission of the highest importance was awaiting him.
Webster was happy to have Caine as his superior again aboard the Patton.
Webster is extreme loyal, this quality is only matched by his bravery and excellent flight skills, he is Caine’s right hand man and is always there to provide support.
