Hey dude, story is sorta already written but any ideas feel free to fire away lol.

It's the 21st century, and a group of scientists are working on a New Zealand Government Project titled "Operation Red Star" The operation is a experiment, they are trying to develop a time machine.

The team succeeds in developing the time machine, and the scientific team sends a expedition of adventures:

A doctor

Three scientific personel

a government agent

and a reporter who is the main character

the team goes back in time during the height of world war 2 during the pafic campagin. They end up on a american carrier during the battle of the Coral Sea, and the crew is distraced by their presence. The Japanese destroy the american fleet and the team goes back to present day New Zealand.


The group soon discovers everything is in Japanese. In this alternate history the Germans and Japanese have won world war 2, Austraila and NZ are part of the Japanese empire, including french indo china, china, mongolia, eastern russia and western u.s. and all of south america.

Germany has all of africa, middle east and eastern u.s. and canada including england. The only governments are the Imperial Japanese and the Nazi government

The battle of Coral Sea went in the Japanese favor therefore turning the tide, the Japenese fleet still lost at Midway but the allies never recoverd from this loss.

Our adventures are now trapped in this alternate reality and some how have to get back to our timeline.

Well lew that's the jist of it, the rest is up to you. It's the back story and well you can do whatever you want with it ok?

Hey Sean,

Yeah I love time travel/alternate reality stuff - find it all really interesting - sorta the possibilities n all.

It would make a very interesting story - like planning and how to conclude it, etc.

You should read 'John Birmingham - Axis of Time' trilogy - sorta creates an alternate WW2 due to time travel.

But yeah, I like this it's really cool!

Thanks I haven't read that series but will ASAP. I got inspiration from the "high castle" novel. In that film, germany owns the eastern u.s. and the japanese own the western u.s.

Harry turtledove has written some interesting alternate history series. really deep.

Well my idea is just a plot with no names for the characters or how they get back it's just the initial set up of the story, kinda like what you did with the "Frontier Background"

But yeah Lew, the rest of the story is up to you, I just gave you the set. Hehehehe

Lew forgot to add something that i just realized.

Hitler and Stalin were in facr allies at one time!

taking that into account, in this history:

Hitler does not invade Russia he is low on oil, asks Stalin for support on oil and for him to give him a hand in england. England does fall to soviet/german forces.

Africa is owned by germans west europe is all german. Italy has greece and north africa.

USSR has east europe and all of it's satellite states. Japan has all of pacific including mongolia and china. Japan has all of middle east.
