Part 7 Nearing Completion

After many many many shots of launching, preparing to launch and fighters battling – Part 7 is almost here.

Scene 18 has turned out to be one mammoth scene which looks like it will encompass all of Part 7.

So overall Part 7 is about 80-90% complete and my best guess would be that it’s gonna be completed early next week.

I will only say that the battle has finally begun.

Part 7 Update – Working Scene 18

Well the launch is imminent and the pace is picking up. Lots of modeling and lots of talking so lots of mouth syncing which in short is a real bitch – but highly necessary. The good news is we’re about 4:30 into the part which means it’s roughly 40-50% complete. Powering onward so stay tuned.

A Nice Comparison

You may remember in early 2008 I posted a vid up on youtube showing a scene excerpt from Frontier, this was a mock scene I made from the script showing the landing forces getting ready and launching.

Well Part 7 contains this very scene so it’s all been redone. I thought I would share with you a comparison shot from that 2D vid in 2008 and this redone vid in 2009. So very very better hehe.

Part 6 Update – The Final Update

Part 6 is coming to a close, it’s almost there! The end is near.

Progress-wise I should say it’s 75-85% complete.

My best guess would be that we’d be looking at it’s release sometime next week.

So I hope you all don’t mind waiting a little longer.

Part 6 Update – Scene 17 Begins

Not much more to say other than 3D Modeling is now underway on Scene 17, the first four shots have been capped, but there’s many more on this scene and a lot more modeling – I’ve got the ‘Scene 17 – To Do List’ all drawn up and there’s a wee bit, but one step at a time. The action is heating up in this one.

Part 6 Update – Scene 16 Complete

Scene 16 is wrapped up and done…so now the last scene of part 6 – Scene 17, which contains quite a few models to be constructed and quite a bit of action, I’ve begun working on that this morning.

All in all I would say Part 6 is about 60%-70% complete – so almost there.

Hi Guys,

As Part 6 progresses I look ahead to the next few scenes and realise, ‘wow, we got quite a few big scale scenes coming up’, alot of main-ish and bit part characters in there.

So if you’re keen to volunteer your voice talent for the greater good, then please read on…
