Ship/Station of the Week: Terra Prime

The station boasts some of the most thick defences in the entire Union territory, Terra Prime has been deemed impregnable and completely competent at defending Earth from any known threat in the galaxy.

Terra Prime has two main docking/dry-dock bays – these at full capacity can house between them six Montgomery-Class Destroyers, which allows Terra Prime to also function as a repair depot if the Jupiter Naval Yards were ever full – which has never occurred.

Ship of the Week: U.S.S. Dallas

The Dallas was the first ship of the Battle of Toyr’diablo to be destroyed. Upon entering the Reinager System the Dallas along with the rest of the Invasion Group took up high orbit of Toyr’diablo amidst badly co-ordinated Dakota planetary defense fire. The idea that these blasts would fine any targets was dismissed and therefore the invasion group did not even take evasive action.

Unfortunately for the Dallas, one slow moving blast managed to find its target and ripped the Dallas in two. Taken so by surprise the crew of the Dallas perished with the ship. There were some reports of life-pods ejecting from the ship however no Search and Rescue teams were able to locate these.

Imperial 8th Colonial Fleet Command after the discovery of the Dakota super-cannons at the Battle of Van Gaal VI two years earlier, sought to upgrade the armour of their vessels from the ageing Multi-Layered P.E.S.C.A.H. (Plasma Enriched Super-Chobam Armoured Hull) to the more powerful and newly created P.H.A.R.A.O.H. (Plasma Heat-Active Reinforced Agent On Hyperplatinum) Armour.

In 2299 the Hammer was assigned to Operation Red Dirt – the invasion of Toyr’diablo, the Hammer was thus transferred to the Reinager Invasion Group.

Ship of the Week: C.S.V. Nile Road

The Nile Road was one of the last freighters to depart Maya, however she was tracked and fell under attack near Van Gaal VI from a Dakota scouting group as she attempted to leave the system. A Union detachment from the 4th Fleet was immediately dispatched from the frontlines to assist in protecting the Nile Road.

The small skirmish which came to be known as the infamous Battle of Van Gaal VI was a complete disaster. The discovery of a Dakota super-cannon mounted to the front of their destroyers, the arrival of a Dakota Cruiser and the destruction of the U.S.S. Roanoke (SDD-1081) and two other vessels; saw the surviving two ships – the U.S.S. Patton (SCA-703) and U.S.S. Tigershark (SGB-994) under the new command of Captain Krauer, retreat from the battle, despite protests from the Air Wing Commander of the Patton – Major Caine who’s wife and child were aboard the Nile Road.

Soon after the retreat was given Caine was forced to watch the Nile Road be destroyed, there were no survivors.
