This week has been very very slow…why you may ask?
One word…clouds.
In Part 8 we are going to see the invasion of Toyr’diablo which of course involves the invasion force entering the atmosphere, and of course that means clouds…creating, animating and rendering clouds can be a pretty arduous task, not so much the creating and animating, but the rendering is astonishing depending how big your clouds get. One 200 frame (roughly 8 seconds long) shot took 16 hours to render – crazy huh?
So yes it’s been going a little slower than usual, but nonetheless Part 8 is charging forward.
Another little hiccup with Part 8 is the fact myself and my family are moving house today, it’s incredible that you never really know how much stuff you have until you move house.
So today is pretty much a write-off for doing any work on Part 8 
.
Another section I’m going to start doing on and off is wallpaper, I’m going to do everything at 1152 x 864 resolution, but if you want it higher or lower just let me know and I can do them how you like them.

Bad clouds! Bad bad bad!
lol I sound like a person who is yelling at a dog. Nonsense lew you’ve done much more then last week. Moving is a pain i know, hopefully your new house is much bigger.
So it’s gonna be out at the end of the month rather then the middle of the month if my calculations are correct.

Here’s hoping that the move goes off without a hitch and that you get settled in with a minimum of fuss.
Will the dropship ride be similar to the ride that the marines had in “aliens” and “Starship Troopers”?
Oh btw will there be any back stage stuff in the real world? like havin someone document wats happening behind the screen.
like ur friends doing the voice acting while u tell them what to do etc.

Move has been fine, new house is a mess with furniture everywhere but we’re getting that sorted slowly, have been without internet however it’s supposed to be back up today, (currently using work internet at the moment lol).
Dropped a rather heavy item on my foot so I’m currently sporting an awesome limp, in regard to Frontier – was back into animating this morning, so it’s on again
New place is wicked, much more spacious.
So Lew, then ur like Dr. House then correct? With the limp i’d imagine your takin pain killers, lets hope u dont have a cane and wack ppl with it like house does lol.
Oh btw, the backgrounds are great but could u make them a little smaller? the Frontier logo is eaten up by my screen it’s half of Frontier.
I only see the bottom letters of Frontier. Prelude to Darkness is fine but the Frontier logo is well eaten up
Other then that no complaints on the background. Hope it’s a two story house lew! I’ve got a single story home right here in the mountians.

What resolution are you running on your screen (you can find out by going Start –> settings –>control panel –> display —> settings – and then just look down at screen resolution. Let me know and I’ll do the wallpapers to that resolution for you. 
My screen resolution is
1280 by 800.
BTW, House is a american show dunno if you’ve seen it, it’s a comedy/drama about a doc who has a limp and yells at people, calls them names. He hates everyone but it’s his own special way of love. Really good show.
I’ll post up a 1280×800 version on the same post soon – yeah we get house here too, he’s good.
Did you catch the series “Lost”? Really good and very nice to see Desmend again.
