Part 6 Progressing – Scene 15 Complete

s15I know things are going slower than usual with Part 6, this is of course due to the HUGE task of:

a) still learning a new 3D program

b) converting over all the models and re-texturing them

So unfortunately Part 6 has been dogged with a few hickups. HOWEVER (and a big however at that) Scene 15 is complete and this was a doozie of a scene with some BIG shots containing a significant number of ships, so I would say that Part 6 would be probably now sitting on a 40% completed mark, and work on Scene 16 should be alot easier as it isn’t as demanding in the 3D model sense.

So stay tuned more updates will be following and part 6 is drawing closer…

    Oh boy, eye candy :)

Looks amazing people, I sure hope this viral series becomes more popular. Oh by the way

    Go go Google:

Type in: Frontier Prelude to Darkness, and by the time you have the “To in there it has a suggestion that says “Frontier Prelude to Darkness” So maybe it is becoming popular. Just try it, it’s really neat.

Are all of the characters going to ne 3d now?

    Looking good people, really good.

  • Hey Sean,
Thanks man, yeah it lookin a little better than before, some better lighting effects and a little nicer rendering.
Must try that on google, it’s nice to know that it might possibly be getting a bit more attention :)
Characters will remain 2D for the duration of ‘Frontier – Prelude to Darkness’, however the next major project I plan on doing is ‘The Arksville Homicides’ – all the characters in that movie will be 3D and from then on in every other project I do – so really it’s just this one that’ll have them in the cartoonish 2D form, and that’s mostly for continuity’s sake.

But yeah, Part 6 is coming along, have been working on the models for Scene 16 this morning so things are definately moving faster.
