Scenes 10, 11 and 12 have been completed but there’s still room on this part for possibly two more scenes so at this time I’m putting Scenes 13 and 14 down onto part 5.

I would guesstimate I’m about 60% complete.

The story is definitely moving forward, the characters are on their way out of the solar system, bound for the invasion fleet.

In 2296, the outer rim world of Maya was attacked by Dakota forces, Caine’s family along with millions of other civilians were forced to evacuate aboard refugee ships bound for Earth.

The CSV Nile Road carrying Caine’s family was attacked as it passed through the Van Gaal system, the Patton and a handful of other ships were rushed to the rescue.

However, a new Dakota weapon saw many of the Union ships destroyed and a retreat was ordered, Caine was unable to save his family and watched as their ship was destroyed.

After this Caine transferred to Special Operations under Major-General Howell, but after a year Caine transferred again to the Strategic Reserve and went into a life of solitude, farming on the American Continent and holding a bitter grudge against certain superiors who ran out on the civilians in the Van Gaal system.

Two years passed before the Union caught up with Caine again.

This is one of the Union’s most lethal machines. The Boxcar’s primary use is against capital ships or planet surface targets, it carries onboard a various armament of air-to-ground or air to ship missiles depending on the type of mission. The Boxcar also carries a larger crew of a Pilot, Co-Pilot and four gunners for protection.

So I bet you’re all asking – ‘where the hell is part 5?’ I would be too.

Well I can promise you it’s being worked on vigorously. It’s currently midnight and I’ve just completed Scene 11 which feels good, it looks like I’m going to be able to cram quite a bit into this part which is great!

I can tell you the story is moving along, the Union invasion force’s departure from Earth to Toyr’Diablo is getting very very close. So stay tuned as updates will continue.

Well one advantage here is that I’d already written Scenes 10 and 11, so sorta like a big giant head-start into Part 5. The 3D modeling is all done on Scene 10 and animating has begun on that scene. Unfortunately I hit a small obstacle when I discovered I was all animated up to the parts where I needed lines from other people, so that brought me to a bit of a standstill temporarily. But lucky for me Ryan Casey (voice of Pvt. Groenan) and Malcolm Klassen (voice of 2Lt. Ender and SSgt. Ogilvy) were so awesome they got to work right away and I got all the lines now, so work is back into full gear again. So stay tuned, part 5 is on the way and will be out as soon as possible. And there will also be a new section coming on the site very soon.

Part 4 is complete, earlier than I’d anticipated in fact! I’d reached about 7:30 upon finishing Scene 09, so rather than risking going over 10 minutes (youtube restriction), I felt Scene 10 can go into part 5 instead. So good news is of course is that part 4 is out now!

Well I suppose it’s been roughly a week since I updated any news regarding Part 4 – I can say it’s coming along real nice! There’s been a lot of model making for this part – so it’s taken a little longer. Scene 08 being the main offender in that area, but now that scene is complete, so should be smoother sailing getting Scene 09 and 10 done. The story is definitely picking up pace, so stay tuned!
